Having already had a scan and a consultation at a different clinic I felt this made everything easier. After waiting a while I had an initial assessment to make sure everything was Ok and I still wanted to go ahead, they asked a few questions, checked my blood pressure then talked me through what would happen, I then went back to the waiting room and was seen again within the hour.
Although some people may have felt rushed I thought it was all very efficient, the staff are so friendly I would encourage people to ask as many questions as possible, especially in the initial meeting (no question is a stupid one, trust me). I was talked through everything as it happened and then afterwards they encourage you to be up and moving as soon as possible.
I then went to get something to eat and drink then sat in a second waiting room until I was seen again, I then became very hot, dizzy and felt sick. The staff were brilliant, dealt with me straight away, took me to a separate room where I was monitored until I felt well enough to go home.
Although this isn't ever going to be a pleasurable experience they couldn't really have done much better. Everything is so clean and the staff are so willing to answer any questions you might have. I was initially dreading the experience but I wish someone had told me, honestly it's not that bad.
I had the surgical abortion under GA, this was the best option for me. I hope if anyone has to go through this they feel as well looked after and reassured as I did.
"Friendly and reassuring staff made everything..."
